Once I started taking IB photography in high school (this is my 3rd year of it), I've had to step away from free styling all my photos and actually plan some out...to some extent at least. I always lose points on preliminary planning, especially when i do the research after i take the photos. ;p

Visited the botanical gardens

My great-grandmother's grave on Mount Royale...

I didn't even know these people, so I'm bordering stalkerish with some of these, but it is a nice photo. :)

a replica of the Notre Dame, except not in France!

Canada has lots of Jewish people...

The irony in this one is that as I snapped this picture this kid is saying "Your camera is a fail" ;)

So for awhile I just got into the habit of bringing my camera everywhere I went because at this point, I couldn't set up photos. I could only capture good photos by interacting with the world around me, by being in the right place and clicking the shutter at the right time, and whipping out my camera if I saw a potential photo. So I brought it to school...the beach...car drives...and waited for a photo to come around.

I've always had a subtle interest in photography, but it really developed when I went to visit my little cousins in New Jersey. So that's where I'll start, post a few photos from the very beginning. These were taken around 2007, so I was 13...
